Launch of the 2025 Real Estate Broker Survey

PROPSTAT, the nonprofit association dedicated to advancing research within the real estate sector, is pleased to announce the launch of the 2025 Real Estate Broker Survey. The study will be conducted from November through December 2025 in Germany, Italy, France, Spain and UK and will gather insights from licensed real estate agents as well as unlicensed industry workers, including assistants, administrative staff, coordinators, transaction support roles, and other non-licensed personnel who contribute to brokerage operations.

The survey aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of three essential dimensions of the real estate profession:

• conditions and perceptions of the real estate market,
• satisfaction with brokerage organizations,
• personal job satisfaction and professional well-being.

The participation will be compensated with various vouchers and the chance to win one of 5 100 EUR Amazon vouchers.

Purpose and Significance of the Survey

An evidence-based contribution to industry knowledge

As the real estate sector continues to evolve amid shifting economic conditions, changing consumer expectations, and accelerating technological transformation, the perspectives of those working inside the industry are vital. This study seeks to produce a reliable dataset that captures the lived experience of both licensed agents and the essential unlicensed workforce who support daily brokerage operations.

Recognizing all contributors to the real estate profession

Much of the available industry research focuses on market metrics, transactions, and sales performance. The 2025 Real Estate Broker Survey distinguishes itself by emphasizing the workforce experience, including individuals whose roles are often underrepresented in formal studies despite being central to operational success. By incorporating both licensed and unlicensed personnel, the survey presents a more complete and inclusive picture of industry dynamics.

Satisfaction with brokerages

This component examines the workplace environment provided by brokerage organizations, covering leadership quality, communication, operational support, training opportunities, technological tools, compensation structures, and organizational culture. Questions are tailored to be relevant for both licensed and unlicensed professionals.

Personal job satisfaction

A dedicated portion of the survey explores motivation, professional fulfillment, advancement opportunities, workload, and work–life balance. Including unlicensed staff enables a broader understanding of career satisfaction across all roles within the brokerage ecosystem.

Participation Details

• The survey will be administered online and will remain open throughout November and December 2025.
• Eligible participants include:
  • licensed real estate agents,
  • unlicensed industry workers such as assistants, administrative personnel, listing coordinators, marketing staff, and transaction support specialists.
• Responses are strictly anonymous and will be reported only in aggregate form.
• Participants will receive a summary report of key findings.
• Brokerages with high participation rates may receive an optional benchmarking overview tailored to their organizational profile.

Anticipated Outcomes

Based on prior research and industry observation, the survey may illuminate:

• differences in workplace perceptions between licensed and unlicensed professionals,
• the influence of digital tools on efficiency and job satisfaction,
• how varying brokerage models affect the experiences of different job roles,
• areas where expectations regarding support, training, or resources are not fully aligned.

These findings will contribute valuable context for workforce planning and organizational improvement across the real estate sector.

The survey link will be released at the beginning of November 2025 and remain open until the end of December. Initial results are expected in early 2026.
